PROGRAM
DetailS
Our cohort program is designed to shape the imagination of the next generation of lead pastors, church planters, or those in strategic kingdom roles across denominations and networks around a vision of renewal in the church and mission in secular culture. Beyond that, we want to create dense networks of spiritual friends who can support each other for decades to come.
Program Components:
Six-Month Journey: This cohort will run from October 2024 to March 2025. See below for dates and more information.
Sixty-Person Cohort: We plan to gather 60 church planters, lead pastors, and strategic kingdom leaders from around North America and abroad.
City Sessions: Participants will join us for 3 city gatherings.
Zoom Sessions: Zoom gatherings include interviews, teaching and Q&R sessions with experienced ministry leaders.
Sages + Innovators: Searock invites seasoned, pioneering, kingdom leaders to share best practices and wisdom from years of front line ministry.
Alumni Guides: Smaller tables throughout the program will serve to connect participants with other alumni and with each other.
Digital Community: Participants have access to a growing base of online resources and relational connections.
Alumni Network: You’ll get to be part of the Searock Sessions alumni community.
Cost: The program costs $3,400 per person, plus transportation and lodging costs at city meet-ups. Spouses are invited to join for an additional $500.

FAQ’s
-
Searock is a diverse group of men and women who are emerging leaders, committed to an orthodox expression of faith, serving as lead pastors, church planters, or are in strategic kingdom roles and are seeking to be formed around Searock's 7 convictions.
-
We will accept approximately 60 leaders. In most cases, these will be emerging leaders who are early in their ministry and looking for mentoring, community, and connections.
-
Originally, Searock began as an informal gathering of friends, who shared similar ministry values and a commitment to life-long learning, prayer and connection with older mentors.
The original Searock members (Founders) evolved overtime to include Dave Lomas (Reality SF), John Mark Comer (Bridgetown/Practicing the Way), Todd Proctor (RockHarbor/Alpha), Pete Hughes (KXC) Jonny Hughes (Trinity Nottingham), Evan Wickham (Parkhill Church ), Tim Chaddick (Reality), Jon Tyson (Church of the City, NY) and Tyler Staton (Bridgetown/24-7 Prayer)
After, more than a decade of learning and growing together, the Founders felt compelled to share and replicate their experience with other young ministry leaders. Today Searock Sessions is led by a core leadership team, including the Founders and diverse faculty. See our faculty page for more information
-
To receive the full benefits of the Searock experience, we encourage you to come to all 3 in-person meet-ups and attend all Zoom meetings.
Once you’re in the alumni community, you’ll be invited to future city gatherings.
-
The program costs $3,400 per person, plus transportation and lodging costs at city meet-ups. Spouses are invited to join for an additional $500. City meet-ups are carefully designed to provide a compelling and dynamic learning environment. Our in-person gatherings introduce innovative and exciting ministry approaches and provide significant conversations around current cultural issues and challenges in ministry. Participants will connect with peers and potential ministry friends and participate in our growing alumni community.
-
We find that leaders either (1) raise the funds from trusted partners and donors, (2) allocate this as part of their training and conference budget, or (3) pay for some of it out of pocket as a personal investment.
-
The program is designed for lead pastors, church planters and strategic kingdom ministry leaders. We don’t recommend bringing any staff to the cohort right now, as we want to focus the conversations on the needs of leaders.
