AIRPORTS

We recommend flying into any of the three regional airports. You’ll want an Uber or taxi to get to Midtown. Plan on:

Laguardia = 30 minutes
Newark = 45 minutes
JFK = 1 hour

Getting Around

To get around New York City, you can (1) walk, (2) take the subway, or (3) take Uber/Lyft/Taxi.

To get around the subway, you can use apple pay or any “tap” enabled credit card - no need to stand in line for a transport card.

Exploring NYC

There’s more to see and do in NYC than you could ever do in a quick trip. So don’t worry about it - here are a few vetted places that we know you’ll love. We recommend using The Infatuation as a good starting point for exploring.

Coffee

  • Birch Coffee

  • Bird and Branch

  • St. Kilda’s

  • Joe’s Coffee

  • Rex

  • Afficionado Roasters

Nearby NYC NEIGHBORHOODS:

Midtown

Midtown will be full of tourists and activity. A couple things you might want to explore:

  • Times Square / Broadway

  • Carriage Rides around Central Park

  • The Plaza Hotel

  • Walking Fifth Avenue and seeing the windows.

  • Rockefeller Center

  • Macy’s Store on Herald Square.

  • The numerous high end hotels in the area

  • The New York Public Library

Upper West Side

If you go “up” from Midtown, you’ll hit the Upper West Side. A few things to look for:

  • Lincoln Center

  • Blue Bottle Coffee

  • Levain Bakery (best cookies in NYC)

  • Black Press Coffee

  • Tavern on the Green (in Central Park)

  • The Smith

  • Zucker’s Bagels

  • Ella Social

Hudson Yards / Chelsea

If you haven’t been to NYC in a while, an easy option is to head south down the west side and explore the new Hudson Yards complex.

  • Hudson Yards Complex (shopping and the “Vessel”)

  • Walk the High Line elevated park.

  • Visit the new “Little Island” that was built on the Hudson River

  • Explore the Meatpacking District + Chelsea Market.

  • Lots of great coffee and restaurants in this area.

West Village / Tribeca

If you keep going south, you’ll run into the West Village, eventually Tribeca, and then the World Trade Center complex.

  • West Village cafes and bars

  • Tribeca restaurants, cafes, and cobblestone streets

  • 9/11 Memorial Museum
